The Ride-2-Stride Festival of Walks, Talks & Music 2021

Important Statement

Following the UK Governments Parliamentary Vote on 4th November 2020 to implement a second lock down in England in a further attempt to fight the spread of the Coronavirus, we would like to make this statement:

We, the Ride-2-Stride Festival Steering Committee, have together, and with great reluctance, taken the decision to cancel the 2021 Ride-2-Stride Festival of Walks, Talks & Music, scheduled to have taken place between April 27th to May 3rd.

This decision has been taken in light of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic which currently shows no sign of easing and is causing severe disruption to travel, accommodation and planned events because of regulations on social distancing, group gatherings, hospitality & the like?

It would appear that the coming 6 months or so will see a slow return to opening up the possibility of large social gatherings such as the R2S Festival, but that would be too late to put into place all the necessary planning & publication required for the 2021 Festival to go ahead.

We trust that all Supporters of the Festival will understand and agree with our decision and we apologize for any disruption this may have caused.

Looking forward to 2022, however, we are more than optimistic that the R2S Festival will go ahead in that year.

The projected dates for that will be April 26th to May 2nd inclusive.

Finally, we would like to thank you all for your support & fellowship in previous R2S Festivals.
